Ben Branagan is an artist, originally from London and now based on the south coast of the UK.
Working across a range of different mediums and materials, from cast stone and paper pulp to moving image and sound, his work is a celebration of transformation and change; of disintegration and regeneration. At its core this practice is focused around an expanded idea of collage; a pulling apart and bringing together of things. Sorting, sifting and reconfiguring the residues and echoes that surround us to construct new forms, narratives and feeling for a world in flux.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the The Salone del Mobile Milan and can be found in collections including the Tate Artists book archives. His work has been featured in numerous publications including; Vice, The Financial Times, Dazed & Confused and Art Monthly. Alongside his practice as an artist he is a visiting lecturer on the Visual Communication programme at the Royal College of Art.
